In 1996, at the age of 21, Michael Buffington began selling communications products as an independent retailer in Mifflin County, Pennsylvania. Then, on September 19th, 1996, he opened One-Stop Communications of PA, Inc. in a small building on South Main Street in Lewistown, in what is now South Side Ice Cream. He hired Brett Bagrosky and David Fisher, who are still working at One-Stop Communications of PA, Inc. as the Regional Store Manager and Regional Service Manager, respectively.
Over the years, One-Stop Communications of PA, Inc. has been involved in many changes of the wireless industry, and has been an authorized dealer for all of the major carriers in the area, including Bell Atlantic Mobile, CellularOne, AT&T Wireless, Nextel, and Verizon Wireless..

In June of 2000, One-Stop Communications of PA, Inc. outgrew its former location, and moved to 126 Electric Avenue in Lewistown. Mike hired several new employees, and the business continued to expand, with a focus on service after the sale.
In 2007, Buffington purchased Henry’s Electronics, Inc., in Newport, PA. Henry’s had been a staple in Newport since 1975, and when owner Larry Henry decided to retire, he asked Buffington if he wanted to buy his business. So on June 4th, 2007, One-Stop Communications of PA, Inc. opened their newest store at 100 North Fourth Street in Newport.
Today, One-Stop Communications of PA, Inc. is a well-respected and thriving business that employs over 15 professional staff with over 45 years of combined experience in the communications field. Most customers live and work within a 90-mile radius of Mifflin County, but the business has grown to serve customers all over the United States. One-Stop Communications of PA, Inc. is a member of the Juniata Valley Chamber of Commerce, the Wireless Dealer Association, and the Satellite Broadcast Communication Association.
