ONE-STOP COMMUNICATIONS RECIPIENT OF ENERGY EFFICIENCY GRANT

LEWISTOWN, PA – One-Stop Communications was recently awarded  $1,758 through the Small Business Advantage Grant Program.  Launched by Governor Rendell in July 2004, the grant program provides a 50-percent match for equipment or processes to reduce energy consumption and promote pollution prevention for Pennsylvania manufacturers and service providers.

One-Stop Communications is one of 39 Pennsylvania businesses that are investing in energy efficiency.  “Environmental protection can drive economic growth, and these businesses deserve our support for choosing to make changes that benefit their bottom line and ultimately help us all,” Environmental Protection Secretary Kathleen McGinty said.

Mike Buffington, owner of One-Stop Communications, has matched the $1,758 grant to purchase and install high-efficiency heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning equipment with zone controls to conserve energy.  For more information on Pennsylvania’s energy initiatives, visit DEP’s Web site at www.depweb.state.pa.us, Keyword:  “Alternative Energy.”
