ONE-STOP COMMUNICATIONS TO OPEN LOCATION IN NEWPORT!

LEWISTOWN, PA –

One-Stop Communications recently acquired Henry’s Electronics, Inc. in Newport, PA.  Henry’s has been a staple in Newport since 1975, and Michael Buffington, owner of One-Stop, has purchased the building and the business.

Buffington opened One-Stop Communications in September of 1996 in a small building on South Main Street in Lewistown.  Four years later, the business outgrew its location and moved to Electric Avenue in Lewistown.  Today, One-Stop Communications is the area’s largest provider of communications products, and has provided wireless phone, satellite, paging, Internet, satellite radio, two-way radios and related services to over 20,000 customers locally and throughout the United States.  One-Stop will provide the same products and service in Newport.

Buffington hired Brett Bagrosky and David Fisher 10 years ago, and today, they remain with One-Stop as the Sales Manager and Service Manager, respectively.  With the opening of the Newport location, they will be promoted to Regional Managers.  One-Stop now employs over 15 professional staff with over 60 years of combined experience in the communications field. 

One-Stop Communications is in the process of remodeling the Newport location, and plans to re-open the store in June.  Current One-Stop employee Nathan Follmer, who plans to move to the Perry County area, will manage the Newport location.  Former Henry’s employee Brenda Smiterman will be employed by One-Stop as an Account Executive.  Additional Account Executives will be hired to staff the Newport store.

One-Stop Communications is a member of the Juniata Valley Chamber of Commerce, the Pennsylvania Builder’s Association, the Satellite Broadcast Communications Association, the Cellular Dealer’s Network, and the Consumer Electronics Association.   The company has been the recipient of several awards, including:  AT&T Wireless Dealer of Excellence, AT&T Wireless Outstanding Performance, Verizon Wireless Best in Class, and DishNetwork Summit Advantage Retailer.
