JUNIATA COUNTY EMERGENCY SERVICES
TO RECEIVE DONATED TWO-WAY RADIOS
LEWISTOWN, PA –
Last year, One-Stop Communications donated over
$12,000 in new Icom two-way radios to Mifflin County
fire, police and emergency medical services. The
response from the emergency departments in Mifflin
County was so overwhelming they have decided to
extend a similar program to emergency departments
in Juniata County.
One-Stop Communications became an Icom two-way
radio dealer in February of 2005. Icom manufactures
professional grade amateur, land mobile, marine,
and aviation two-way radios. One-Stop Communications
will be stocking land mobile radios, which are
used in public safety, security, fire, government,
industrial, commercial and farming communications.
One-Stop will also stock a limited supply of aviation
radios.
The professionals at One-Stop Communications have
been selling and servicing two-way radios for years,
but they only began stocking a full line of professional
grade radios when they became an Icom dealer. Icom
currently supplies the radio system used by the
U.S. Army for inter-squad communications.
Within the next several months, One-Stop Communications
will be contacting Juniata County fire, police
and EMS departments to arrange for the donation
and delivery of over $7,000 of brand new Icom handheld
radios. “It was great to see
the overwhelming response in Mifflin County from
this program and we are looking forward to working
with the emergency departments in Juniata County,” says
Michael Buffington, owner of One-Stop Communications.
